Gravatars
Jul 02
it’s been on my to-do list for quite a while now … but i finally got around to adding a feature here on my blog called Gravatars. my recent motivation came from a fellow blogger who recently did the same thing.
so many of you are probably scratchin’ your head right now and thinking … “what the heck is a gravatar anyway?” well, it’s a really simple and fun way to add a bit of personalization to your comments. you start by signing up for a free account at Gravatar.com. all you’ll need is your email address and a photo of yourself. and now when you leave comments on my site or other gravatar-enabled web sites, your photo (gravatar) will appear next to your comment as long as you use the email associated with your Gravatar account. and that’s it. make sense?
signing up is totally free and takes all of about … oh … 2 minutes. so get your Gravatar account and then come back here and leave a comment to see how it works.
so lately i’ve discovered a lot of cool new music by running across great videos like the one i posted last week by a band called Kraak & Smaak.
and then today while out at lunch i heard a classic hip-hop song from back in the day … like umm … 18 years ago when i was a skinny little sophomore in high school. holy cow! i really am getting old. anyways … who else remembers “The Humpty Dance” by Digital Underground? yeah. i found myself bouncin’ to it today at 34 years old just like i did back then. and i’ve been singing it all afternoon. so that got me curious tonight about the music video. and here it is. it’s pretty dang funny. and oh … it’s the non-radio version. so it can be slightly harsh if you have sensitive little ears. enjoy …
“i like my oatmeal lumpy.”
who else remembers ALL of the words?
hey ladies. yeah, all you ladies with the fake bazonkers in the middle of your chest. here is what you can look forward to …

ouch. no … i’m not hatin’ on you for getting fake cans. i actually have no problem with it. i’m just trying to give you a heads up that one day they will be about 6-8 inches lower than where they are now. sure they’ll still look all round and hard, but what about the rest of your body? i kid. i kid.
so what caption would you put with this photo? maybe something about the woman’s freaky hand that looks strangely like a chicken’s foot? or maybe what speedo man was thinking at the time? ready … set … comment.
Friday Fun: Powder Game
Jun 27
today’s dose of fun to end your week is kinda hard to explain. it’s called Powder Game and trust me … it’s really addictive.

add some seed on top of powder and you get plants. drop in a few bubbles and add wind or a fan … and they move. you like to blow things up? then add gunpowder or C-4 with a bit of fire and you get a boom boom. set up a few wheels and drop in water to make them rotate. add ants or little stick-figure fighters and watch them play … until they come in contact with something like thunder … and they cease to exist. create a cone shape with metal … fill it up with oil … and then drop in some fire and magma to create a volcano. you get the picture.

Powder Game really is fun. but watch out. it will eat up a lot of time if you let it.
Squeeze Me
Jun 24
this music video was recently featured in one of the million RSS feeds i subscribe to … because of the very unique style it uses with the old flip-book animation. and yes, that’s a very cool idea for a music video. but i also really dig the song. i’m gonna have to check them out to see if the rest of their tunes are that good. enjoy …
the name of the band is Kraak & Smaak.
Friday Fun: Epsilon
Jun 20
man. i found a killer game to share with you guys this week. Epsilon is kinda hard to describe … so just trust me. but in a nutshell … your job is to move an orb using physics and portals to collect energy points and make it to the goal before time runs out. sounds really simple, huh? it is. and the first couple boards are pretty easy. but stick with it and it gets really fun. and hard.

make sure your boss isn’t looking. are you clear? if so … click here to play Epsilon.
you’re welcome.
The Great Office War
Jun 19
this awesome video reminds me of the daily rubber band wars i had with a couple of my cubicle neighbors about 10 years ago during my second job after college. our battles got so intense and happened so often that we bought a bunch of those little green army men we all played with as kids … and set them up all over our cubicles as extra targets … so that the war wasn’t only about nailing the other guy in the head while he was on the phone. good times. but it definitely wasn’t this cool …
how rad was that?
Slow Motion Baby Laugh
Jun 17
this is by far … the … creepiest … thing i’ve seen in a long time.
okay … maybe it’s a wee bit funny too.
14th Major
Jun 16
i’ve watched at least 4 hours of golf for the last 5 days … and it ended with Tiger winning his 14th major. that will go down as one of the absolute best tournaments i’ve ever seen. the course played really hard, a few no-name players stepped up their games … and Tiger was … well … Tiger.

doesn’t it look like Rocco is saying … “so tell me … what’s your secret? are you human? how do you always come through with the big shots right when you need them? you think i could get a lesson sometime? oh, and umm … can i be your caddy if you and Stevie have a falling out? please, please?”
Friday Fun: Mr. Bounce
Jun 13
Mr. Bounce is sorta like the old Breakout game … but with a twist. you use the Left and Right arrow keys to move your paddle. duh. but the twist comes when you press the Up and Down arrow keys to adjust the height of your shot … and pressing the Spacebar temporarily activate slow-motion. Mr. Bounce is very simple, really fun and it has cool music to … bounce to.

enjoy. have a great weekend.
